Begin by placing a value in the Buy Fee and Sell Fee
fields. These fees are the transaction fee charged by your brokerage.
The program defaults to $7.00 for both.
Put the buy price of the stock in the Share Price field, and
the number of shares purchased in the Share Count field. Share
count defaults to 100.
This is all the program needs to calculate how much the shares need to
increase in value for you to break even with selling them. Press the
Calc button to compute the Break Even share price and the
Price Increase necessary to reach the break even share price.
If you sell your stock, or want to see how much profit you'll make from
selling your stock at a specific Sell Price, enter the price per
share in the Sell Price field and press the Calc button.
The Gross Profit will be calculated and displayed.
Press the Reset button to clear the Share Price and
Sell Price fields so you can compute information on another
stock. The Buy Fee, Sell Fee and Share Count
fields remain unchanged.
Use the CLR ALL button to clear all the data entry fields.
